Comment on Easy To Spend, Makes It Hard To Save by Pamela.
Those are some crazy debt statistics but I am not suprised. The financial health of our country is just a reflection of the financial health of most households. The average American does not even have $1,000 saved for emergencies. Why would they? Where would they get this example from? Our government, corporations, school system? No.no.no. Saving money has become weird to many people. Its needs to be doing something or else it burns a whole in ones pocket. I love to save money. Probably because securiy is very important to me. Good post.

Suffering From Perfectionism or Procrastination?
I really like your clear and concise explanation of procrastination and the analogies you have used. You are right, there is definitely a distinction between procrastination and laziness and we do tend to procrastinate on things we find challenging or boring.
In dealing with procrastination, I definitely have to work on not letting other side projects derail my focus. Not in terms of money management, but mostly in other areas of my life for sure.

Retirement Pitfalls to Avoid
Extravagant travel, that is something we are trying too watch out for when booking our trip to Hawaii. We really want the break and plan to cash-flow the entire vacation but sometimes I feel like these monies could be put towards growing our retirement and long term savings. Its a toss up but I think we can reach a middle ground and travel there without using too much funds.
Adult children is a huge one as well. Not living with my parents has taught me to grow up very quickly and I am thankful for that.
