Today, we wrapped up three days of competitive swimming.
The meet was held at an outdoor pool in Phoenix, Arizona. Normally, the weather in Phoenix is pleasant this time of year. But this weekend, it was not so nice.
We fought through rain and cold. But in the end, it was worth it. The kids performed great. The team did as well. And the whole experience was fun and a good learning experience.
The downside – cost.
These trips are not inexpensive with airfare, hotels, and meals. But it’s part of the cost of living the life we want. And we believe that cost is worth it. We are willing to sacrifice in other areas for these experiences.
