I can think of few popular culture fads that have had as much impact on society as the Star Wars franchise.
Spanning 40 years and multiple generations, I have seen that impact firsthand for as long as I can remember.
From the lines wrapping around the theater when I was a kid, to the toy x-wing fighter I received one Christmas, to the volunteers who dress in costume bringing children in need a little joy.
Two days ago, we took the family to see Rouge One, the most recent release in the franchise. My children were as excited about the movie as I ever was. Over the years, the popularity has only increased.
