For those of you traveling this weekend, good luck. It appears to be shaping into one of those dreadful travel weekends we see every so often.
Besides the normal crowds, with Christmas falling on Sunday, many are leaving today or tomorrow. Couple that with massive winter storms moving across the US and you may be in for some significant delays.
Hopefully, you have things to keep you entertained – books, tablets, games, etc. And my favorite traveling accessory of all, noise-cancelling headphones. Whether you use them to actually listen to audio or as high-tech earplugs, noise-cancelling headphones work great for keeping you calm.
For today’s Fun Friday topic, I’m making a request. This holiday season while you’re exchanging gifts, sharing a grand meal, or just spending time with family and friends, stop for a minute and think about what you can do for someone in need.
And while financial support is always appreciated, don’t limit yourself to giving money. Contributions of time and skills can be just as valuable. It’s not only the grand gestures that count but every small action makes a difference.
For me, education is where I want to make a difference.
In numerous posts, I’ve discussed the importance of education. I attribute much of my success to the education I received. And we spend a significant sum to send our children to private school.
Not everyone has the same access to a quality education and I would like to give back to others in this area.
I have a number of initiatives that I’m looking to launch to do my part.
Readers, any thoughts on what you can do to help someone in need?
